WITH THE DRAFT LAW ON EU FUNDS, THE ENTIRE SYSTEM FOR THE USE OF EUROPEAN MONEY WILL COME IN THE OPEN

With the draft law of EU funds, the entire system for the use of European money will come in the open. This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister on EU funds and economic policy Tomislav Donchev at a regular meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on European Affairs and Oversight of the European Funds (CEAOEF). The draft law was posted on the portal for public consultation http://www.strategy.bg/PublicConsultations/View.aspx?lang=bg-BG&Id=1713    and presented to MPs before being submitted for consideration by the Council of Ministers. In the words of Deputy Prime Minister Donchev, new approaches set out in the law ensure fairness and clear rights and responsibilities of each participant in the system. The presentation was attended by experts from the Council of Ministers who have participated in the development and coordination work of designing the new law. Within the presentation were explained in detail new terms for system projects, integrated projects and budget lines.

"The law is applicable to absolutely all European funds", said Tomislav Donchev. He also stressed that the law creates the necessary legal platform and commitment for all communication between various government bodies in the system to be carried out electronically, and it is provided for the administrative procedure to be performed entirely in the UMIS information system for management and monitoring.
